خيلي جالب

Hello from BabyCenter!

Much of the groundwork for language acquisition has been laid, and now your toddler will focus on boosting her vocabulary. The average 20-month-old can learn 10 or more words a day (some learn a new word every 90 minutes). Don't expect to hear your toddler utter all these words just yet. That will come later. Now she's working on her ability to understand. To encourage her, there's no need to pull out the flash cards or recite a daily vocabulary list. Just keep reading and talking to her. To freshen up your book routine, take her to storytime at your local library (she'll love hearing someone new read to her) and let her choose a few books to borrow. When you're running errands, narrate your activities and ask her to point out common objects such as a cat or flower.
